Al...most...there....

It's been a while since any updates on my part, and for that I am a Bad Lys, and I apologize to those of you following my saga (all 2 or 3 of you *snerk*). As of right now, I am hovering at 97 pounds gone, and have been hovering there for a week or two. Plateaus are annoying in and of themselves, but even more so when you're only three pounds short of three digits! Soon, though...very soon!

I'm hoping to get some photos shot tonight or later this weekend. It may be tonight, it may not, depending on whether we go to the gym after work or not. We usually go in the morning before work, but I have vague memories of da hubby turning the alarm off at 5 a.m. and saying something along the lines of "We've been good, let's take a break today, I'm tired." and my grmph of an answer (translated as "It's five in the morning, you're waking me up, and you want coherence from me??? Are you mad????") being taken as agreement with his proposal. ;) So we might go to the gym to make up for being lazy beasts this morning, or if not, we'll go at some point this weekend to make up for it.

Anyway, we've started working out again, and hopefully that will kick my plateau away and start the weight loss again...which will get me to those triple digits I want.

By the way, for those who may not know, the Cardio button on the treadmill is eeeeevil. That's right. Eeeeeeeeeevil!!!! Yeah, it was a great workout, but I think that it actually did kill me at one point and bring me back just to make me suffer some more. *snerk* The good part was that my exercise stats for yesterday were as follows:

Treadmill for 30 minutes
2.0 m.p.h.
Incline averaging setting 6.5
Distance of 1 mile completed
Heart rate averaged 146

If you count warm up and cool down, I actually did about 40 minutes total.

Go me!

Things are looking good. I'm dropping weight, my arms are the only floppy part for now, I've discovered collar bones where I never thought I had 'em, my rings are getting too big and are threatening to fall off my fingers, and I've discovered that I actually like moving and exercising again. Shock of shocks. But it IS much easier when you're lugging 100 fewer pounds. Soon I'll be getting a swimsuit so that I can swim in the lap pool occasionally. I've also added some weight machine work to help tone up my body.

Hard to believe that a year ago I was undergoing the first of my major high-lows regarding the surgery. I'm glad it's done and I'm able to focus on doing things for myself rather than having to be at the mercy of other people. The pain and anguish involved in getting here was horrid, but in the end, it's worth it. It really is.

Anyway, that's all for now. I'm sure I'll babble more later!

BTW, Jessi said you wanted my rehearsal schedule. I will give it to you, but it isn't absolute. And I really won't know what weekends I have free (other than Sept. 3rd) until the rehearsals start :(

Love you!!
