Our Weird Cat

I think my Cat is going to get a B-A-T-H tonight. She seems to need a reminder that she doesn't like water.

Frequently, when one of us gets out of the shower, Jasmine is sitting right there, on the bath mat, staring at the door. If we step out onto the mat to dry off, and do not close the shower door, she will jump into the shower and start sniffing around the wet tile.

Currently, we have a slow-drain issue. So this morning, I get out of my shower, and there's 4 inches of water pooled in the stall. Sure enough, there is a cat waiting for me. So I leave the door open, and she stands on the edge of the shower and sniffs at the water. Then she edges her feet to the inside of the track, but still not in the water, and sniffs some more. She actually dips her nose in the water. I shoo her away and close the door.

Later, Lys heads into the bathroom, and the cat follows her in, and starts sniffing at the door, and biting at the track, so she opens the door a bit and the cat resumes her exploration. This time, she is brave enough to actually rest her front paws in the water. It also looks like she was lapping at the water.

Normally, in cats, this is a sign they're not getting enough water. If that's the case here, it's her own fault, as there is always plenty of water out and available to it.

I think she just wants to know why the shower eats Mom and Dad on a regular basis, then spits them out with no Fur.

So tonight, there will be kitty bath.
