The Gym

Seven Weeks Post-Op.
Today, we joined a Gym. Lifetime Fitness. They have a huge facility - brand new - right near our house.

And yes - we joined the Gym. For Lys it is a necessity for losing the weight and keeping her muscle tone following the Surgery. It is essential that I be there as support for her. And to be honest, I could stand to lose about 100 pounds myself.

For both of us, it is part of a healthy, fit, lifestyle.

We talked about fitting it into our schedule. As of today, the plan is to get up early on Gym days and go in before work. However, we're both hate getting up early, so the plan may change. We picked the time for a couple of reasons - going to the Gym before work will actually wake us up, get the blood flowing, and hopefully make us alert and aware while we're at work. It also has the distinct advantage of not being 'on the way home from work' - which is when 80% of the world goes to the Gym.

The place appears to have plenty of equipment. We were there today at their busiest time, and there was still equipment available for use.

Wish us luck. It is a new endeavour for both of us.
