About
Unicornucopia.org is the family website for Shannon and Melyssa Wiley. It is named for the Gaming/Bookstore they hope to one day open (Though that day seems further and further away every time they talk about it). While the website is not related to this store, they like the name so much they decided to use it here.
On this site you'll find a plethora of information about things the two of them like. Reviews of Stage and Screen productions, books, games, and whatever else they feel like critiquing; various and sundry articles about their hobbies (Cooking, Role-playing, Highland Games, Renaissance Faires, etc); and whatever random silliness strikes their fancy.
Shannon is a 14 year-old brain trapped in a 30-year-old body. He works as an IT supervisor in a Fortune 500 company. When not at work he maintains this website, works on any of the bajillion gaming scenarios he'd like to one day run, performs at a Renaissance Festival, or whatever else his mildly ADD brain thinks of right at that moment.
Lys is trapped in a 38-year-old body, though her actual age fluctuates with her moods. She works as a Property Tax Researcher for a Fortune 500 company. When not selling her soul to the Tax Gods, she likes to sew, read, cook, watch television, make her husband pointlessly move random heavy objects to places where they supposedly 'look better', paint gaming miniatures, pet the kitty, sing, juggle, write, listen to music and have online conversations with friends - all at the same time. Well - except for the juggling part.
Jasmine is a cat. She works as a People Trainer for Chez Wiley. In her spare time she likes to bathe, stare forlornly at whoever is not petting her, bathe, walk on a keyboard, bathe, meow plaintivly, bathe, do cute things, bathe, chase her ball, bathe, sleep, bathe, nap, bathe, sleep some more, bathe again, and pretend she has claws.
Lys and Shannon were married on January 27th, 2000 and on August 4th, 2001 (Yes. Twice.). Jasmine became a part of the family on January 17th, 2004, by way of the Dallas Humane Society's no-kill shelter, Dog and Kitty City.
