T-Minus 20 Hours
Yup...20 hours. That's all that's left before they start wheeling me into
the operating room and my new life will be beginning. People have been
asking me if I'm nervous. I think I am, just a little, but anyone would be
who has never undergone major surgery before. Nervousness isn't my overlying
emotion, though. Right now I'm excited, I want to get things going. I'm
looking forward to all of the things that are coming down the road, and I
want them all right now. *chuckle* I think I'm going to have to make sure I
pace myself during recovery so that I don't overdo things.
At the moment my stomach is churning, but not from nerves. The stuff they
use to clean your digestive tract (yeah, TMI, I know) is nasty tasting. I'm
updating while I can, because soon I'll be living in the bathroom, I think.
*LOL*
The kitty is confused. She knows something is going on, she can feel the
difference, but she doesn't know what it is. She's been very lovey to us
both today and yesterday. I told her to take care of Shado while I'm in the
hospital.
I'll be having Shado call a few people to let them know when I'm out, and
they will pass the info along.
My head is running every direction right now, trying to be sure I have
things ready, trying to remember what I've forgotten, and trying not to get
sick from this nasty stuff.
I have a few things left to do today. I have to pack my duffel, get my
sewing stuff ready so that I can work on my handkerchiefs in the hospital,
pull together whatever books I want to read, and finish what laundry I can.
Before I go, though, I want to thank everyone who has supported me through
all of this. It's really impossible to find the words to let you all know
how much I appreciate you. You are all good and wonderful people, and it is
my privilege to call you all friends and family. I love you all.
Now it's time to get back to getting things ready! *HUGS* all around and
I'll see you all on the skinny side. *grin*
